We as humans stand have learnt to stand our ground after 9 decades of being chased and chasing the British. Khal Bali from the movie rang de Basanti has a very impactful and powerful message. The struggles the freedom fighters faced with and the lives that were lost during the battle of fighting for our rights and freedom will never be forgotten. The hardships of every artisan, worker , craftsmen and farmer will never go in vain, the work that had been lost is now know to the world. There’s a saying ‘ never bite the hand that feeds you’ and that’s exactly what the British did. During their rule over India, it indeed helped us grow as a nation but deprived us from our own culture and land. The song talks about the commotion and uneasy every individual felt during that time, the feeling of being helpless in your own home country. Having no opportunity or opinion, just sitting and doing nothing because no one will listen.
